Kimmy as a Bride
This was taken on August 11, 2001, at age 21. So here I am, right after doing something I never thought I'd do - get married. But I've never been happier. Part of it is because I don't have to look anymore (what a relief). But most of it is because I know I've joined my life with someone who will always love me for who and what I am, and will never ask me to be more than I can. Now some details about the ceremony, because I know some of you will be curious. We got married at a special events center, not a church. It was beautiful. The ceremony was preformed by a Church of Christ minister, but was a completely secular ceremony. If I can get permission from the preacher, I'll post the text of it here (a lot of it is particular to him). If not, you'll just have to take my word for it. *grin* We pledged our lives and our hearts to each other, and it was the best decision of my life. |
