Ask Kimmy

I'm still getting some good questions for the advice column, but I always have room for more! Among the questions since the last newsletter are:

Lost In a Deep Sea of Longing needed to know how to find love, or least how to open yourself to it. A Minority's Minority was facing the apparent lack of African American atheists in the world (or at least on the net) and looking for companionship. How Do We Look? wanted to know what to do about the terrible public image that seems to plague atheists (this one answered today).

Read the answers to all of these questions, and keep an eye out for new ones as they appear. I welcome new questions, and please be sure to read the rules before submitting. It's very important, for your protection and for mine.

Letters to the Editor

I have gotten my very first Letter to the Editor on the subject of the Biblical views of marriage (and why it's so odd to try to religiously enforce a ban on gay marriage). It's a great letter, but I think it's a bit lonely. I know that atheists tend to be a very outspoken lot. I'm hoping that some of you will choose to be outspoken here in my little home on the net.

So, please, check out the new section. If you like the idea, check out the rules and send a letter on through. I can't wait to get some thought-provoking letters from the intelligent readership I know is out there.

Newsletter Archive

Okay, better late than never. Although this new section was intended to be up in March, I've only just added it tonight. Check out the newsletter page to see the links. They're separated by year, although 2003 is fairly sparse. If by some chance you've happened to keep old newsletters that aren't posted on the site, would you email them to me? I'd love to beef up the archive. Thanks!

Unsubscribe

This email is being sent only because you (or someone else with full access to your email account) subscribed to receive it. If for any reason you no longer wish to receive this newsletter, it is fairly easy to unsubscribe. Just go to the newsletter - unsubscribe page on the site. You will find a form to fill out. Within twenty-four hours of your having done so (barring catastrophes in my off-line life) you will receive an email confirming that you wish to unsubscribe. Once you've replied to that email your name will immediately be taken off of the mailing list and you will not hear from me again.

See you next month!
