Letters/Editor

Random Inklings

21 February 2004

Got my firts Letter to the Editor up today. Yay! Big thanks to the friend who sent me that. Aside from being glad to no longer have an empty section, I think it's definitely an interesting point to make. So, y'all all head over and have a look at that if you haven't already.

Job search isn't going well. I'm not sure why, but it's fairly depressing. I've never had this much trouble getting a job before. I've got another appointment on Tuesday, so I'm hoping that one will go better. I really wish I'd gotten the job I interviewed for last week, but since I didn't hear by this past Wednesday, I'm going to assume the answer was no. *sigh*

In cheerier news, the computer is back up and running more or less properly. So the site updates should be on a more regular basis. I only missed about a week, so I don't feel too bad. Otherwise life is good, I guess. Keep checking in on the site and don't forget to send in your letters for Ask Kimmy and Letters to the Editor.

Did you ever have the feeling that you could do anything? Well, after a very successful dieting week (see the blog for details), I'm feeling like I could jump off a cliff and fly. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to transfer that emotion into anything on the computer, hence the lack of updates (including the promised letter for last Friday in Ask Kimmy). My computer at home is having some serious issues, and I'm trying to work them out during the evenings. The diagnostics I've been running take forever, hence the slow progress. I'm doing this from work (shhh, don't tell). Hopefully, this will all get sorted out soon and I'll be back at the letter answering.

Speaking of letters, I'm still waiting for some letters to the editor. After all the opinionated letters I get, are you guys actually going to tell me that none of you have anything to say for the edification of others? Remember, if you're shy, you don't have to include your real name. An alias will do just fine, and contact information will only be published if you ask me to do so. Otherwise those who wish to respond to you can do it through another letter to the editor. So I'm begging you folks, help me out. It sucks to have an empty section here on the site.

12 February 2004

Because five websites just aren't enough, I've started another one. Well, that's not true. Not an entire website, just a blog. I have (once again, and for the hundredth time) gone on a diet to lose this excess poundage. My weight is higher than ever now, and it's just way past time to do something. So I've started a second blog, this one devoted entirely to my dieting, helpful ideas, good restaurants, and low fat recipes. If you're even the slightest bit interested, check out Journey to a Thinner Me. Although it's housed off of this site, it's never going to be integrated in as part of it, since it is of a purely personal nature with no links to atheism (besides me, of course). However, I have put a link here in the left-hand menu so y'all are welcome to visit at any time. Posting encouragement in the comments of this new blog is welcome, encouraged and will be greatly appreciated (and needed).
